A rainy week – or muggy hot air. Today fair and cool.

Frank was very sick Wed. P.M. & night. Cause getting over heated.

He was out of his head several hours – did not know any of us. I sent for the Dr. Aunt Susan went home that night. She came up Mon. with me when I had been to carry Ella Bradley to the cars. Uncle B. had been off to see his “state” boys and called to take her home.

Today Frank and I have been to Northampton. I have drawn the money on my $100 check – bought some clothes for Henry etc.

Sunday, August 21, 1898

Pleasant. Papa & all the children went to church. Henry & Susie staid to dinner with Aunt S. Came home after Jr. Endeavor. No one went from here this eve. I have been getting over my yesterday’s trip. I cannot stand a shaking up.

Monday, August 29, 1898

Pleasant and warm. Mr. D. J. Wright came from Northampton with the buggy that Frank looked at when we were in there one week ago. He took up with Frank’s offer so we have a new $85.00 buggy for $40.00 cash. So papa and the children have that much to remember Grandpa and Grandma Tilton by.
