Sunday, June 24, 1894    

Cloudy and cooler. Yesterday very warm.

All the Richards family gone to ch. but myself.

Mr. Cheney quite sick with grip and asthma. Frank milks his cow for him. He and Prescott finished shingling his barn and hoed his garden for him.

Electric cars commenced to run to this town Sat. the 16” of this month. I have not been down to see them yet. Crowds of people were here the day of the celebration.

Saturday, June 30, 1894  

Very warm – heavy thunder shower with hail this P.M.

Grandma made green apple pies for the first time and they were good.

I have nearly finished the skirt to her sateen dress. She did the machine work.

Emma went to Northampton last Wednesday. Mattie expects to go Monday.

I walked down to Mrs. Cheney’s last night.

Men all worked on Walnut Hill today.

Grandpa went to N. on the electric cars twice this week.
