Grandpa Williams went to town to pay Alanson Nash’s note.
Put carpet down in mother’s room.
School did not keep today. Prescott helped me.
Saturday, June 4, 1892
Rainy – showers. Prescott and Mattie carried Grandpa Tilton home this P.M. He worked 11 whole days and did not reckon any parts of days. 8 hours @ .60 – 4.80
11 days = 16.50 – 4.80 = 11.70
Sunday, June 5, 1892
Henry could not go to ch. he was so lame from the fall that he had yesterday. The ladder slipped and threw him onto the barn floor.
Papa, Prescott, Susie and I went to church. Mr. Creelman of Worthington preached.
Monday, June 6, 1892
Mother washed today. I did “etc. etc.” work – patched the paper in the front entry.
Tuesday, June 7, 1892
Pleasant. Grandpa and Grandma went to Florence and to N. to see Emma. About 10 ½ o’c Emma and Uncle Charles Lavake drove up here. They stayed to dinner and waited for the folks to return. Fixed Emma’s clothes.
Henry came home from school at noon with a headache. Guess he is coming down with the measles. Emily Smith brought them here. She and her children and Ellen Nash have all had them.
Frank and cattle worked for Mr. O. Nash ½ day.
Wednesday, June 8, 1892
Mother made bread. We finished ironing. Frank went to meeting this eve. They go onto Walnut Hill to work most every day.
Put down stair carpet.
Thursday, June 9, 1892
I have sewed more today than any day before for several weeks.
Friday, June 10, 1892
Grandpa went to Florence after wire. Mother went – brought oil-cloth for front entry. Very pretty. I made seven pies. Dosed Henry to make the measles come out.
Saturday, June 11, 1892
Very warm and pleasant. Mother did the baking. I did sweeping – fitted oil cloth into the front entry put down carpet in Prescott’s room. Henry has to sleep with me.
Peter and cattle worked for Mr. O. ½ day.
Frank and Bart finished planting the gardens. Grandpa and “pet” worked on W. Hill ½ day.
Mrs. Ellis of Conway called.
Sunday, June 12, 1892
Very warm and pleasant. Children’s Day. Three babies baptized. Joseph Edward Graves, Justine Pratt Snyder and – – Clark. Papa, Prescott and Mattie went to church. Pa. stayed to hear Mr. Thorndyke at the M.E. church. He is the Presiding Elder now. P. and M. went to the concert at 5 o’c. Frank went to the M.E. church this eve. [Rest is cut off by the photocopy.]
